We will be pleased to see you back!
We want to help and encourage you to be confident with your referencing.
The first place you should look are the citation generators available: Massey’s OWLL APA Interactive is a popular one. You can check out others on the Library’s APA Referencing page. Here you will also find information about the principles of referencing, lists of common but tricky examples you will encounter in your studies and if you are a nursing student, there is an additional list for you.
We no longer offer the booklet for sale, as it duplicated lots of information readily available elsewhere. The online version remains but we will be phasing that out too. You can print out the more focussed, slimmed-down lists instead.
You are still welcome to ask at the Library about any tricky example you have, but our Referencing Check appointments have been revised: we now offer ‘Reference Chats’ where we ask you to limit the number of references to discuss to a maximum of 3.
If you need general tuition about referencing, please talk to your tutor first: they may organise a whole-class session with a Librarian. If not, you could organise a group (up to 4) and make an appointment.
We want our APA services to work for you and welcome any suggestions or feedback.
