Student Health and Wellbeing support is available to all NorthTec students, across our region. Our experienced Registered Nurse offers a wide range of professional and confidential health and wellbeing services. The aim is to provide high quality health care in an environment sensitive to your spiritual, cultural, emotional and physical wellbeing. We value your learning success and our aim is help you maintain and improve your wellbeing.
The Te Whare Hauora, NorthTec Student Health Centre is located at D380, Gate 2, Raumanga Valley Road, Whangarei.
Kerikeri Campus: Clinic on campus every second Monday during term time 10:30am to 1:30pm
Future Trades Campus: Clinic on campus every Wednesday, 9:00am to 3:30pm

COVID-19 symptoms are similar to the common cold and/or flu. You should be tested if you have an acute respiratory infection with at least one of the following symptoms: cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, head cold (runny nose, sneezing, post nasal drip), loss of sense of smell, with or without fever.
During Alert Level 1 NorthTec continues to have a responsibility to keep all students and staff safe. If you become unwell for any reason you need to let your tutor know AND if you have COVID-19 Symptoms and/or you are tested for COVID-19 please let Jann know by phone or email.
This information will help us stay in touch with you to make sure you are recovering. We will keep your information confidential but we will be required to provide a record of the students affected by COVID-19 to the Ministry of Health.

Kia ora, my name is Jann. I am an experienced registered nurse and have worked at the NorthTec Health Centre since 2011.
I have worked in primary health care for over 20 years. Through this experience I have gained a very broad, general health care knowledge base.
I have completed specific training in the following areas:
Mental Health and Addictions Credential for Primary Health Care Nurses
Certificate in Contraception and Sexual Health
Audiometry (hearing testing)
I look forward to assisting you with your health and wellbeing needs.
