So, the story goes…
So, the story goes… eleven artists /designers studying the Bachelor of Applied Arts remind us of the importance of storytelling and narrative in our lives.
Visit the annual Bachelor of Applied Arts exhibition at NorthTec | Te Pūkenga - So, the story goes… an art exhibition and an important chapter in the careers of eleven artists /designers who use print, sculpture, graphic design, photography, installation, digital technologies, and moving image to explore exterior and interior worlds.
Our stories are all around us - creation narratives, bedtime stories, literature, self-talk, personal memories told, retold, and sung across generations. They unfold to form an important part of our identity, our oral and visual culture. As a collective, these emerging artists have a common purpose - to learn - yet they bring to this shared objective eleven different life experiences and stories to tell.
Please join us in celebrating the artists: Julia Anna Barber, Scotty Burdett, Ashlee Campbell, DCHW, Kayla Ganley, Quinn Gillespie, Lee Jay, Gemma Keene, Vicky Little, Faye’Ala MacFarlane and Jason Povey.
The exhibition can be viewed over one week from Tuesday 13th - Sunday 18th December. Gallery opening hours are weekdays 12 noon - 6pm and on Saturday & Sunday 10am – 2pm.
