Turnitin provides instructors with the tools to engage students in the writing process, provide personalised feedback, and assess student progress over time. click here to view instructions – Submitting your Turnitin Assignment.
Submitting a Draft Assignment through Turnitin allows students to identify and avoid potential issues with 'plagiarism' - the uncredited use of content which has been previously published by another person or organisation. You can do so through your NorthNet course. If this is not available and there is no assignment clearly labelled “DRAFT”, please request this through your tutor.
If Turnitin identifies plagiarism, your assignment may still be acceptable as the content identified may be legitimately used and the source acknowledged (depending on the criteria for your assignment, consult your tutor if unsure). All quotations or paraphrasing should be referenced to avoid suspicion of plagiarism.
