Our friendly team is available to help with your IT support needs. The helpdesk is located on the ground floor of Te Whare Manaaki (the Student Hub) on our Raumanga campus.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

Wireless connectivity is available at NorthTec campuses and learning centres in Whangarei, Kaitaia and Auckland Queen Street.

To connect to the network at these locations, simply identify the network "_NorthTec" and log-in using your usual network log-in credentials:

  • Username - Your username will be your student ID number e.g. 2006000009
  • Password - If you have already have an existing NorthTec network password, you can enter it here. If you have not changed your password before, your default NorthTec network password will be your birthdate in such format: ddMmmyyyy e.g 1Jan1970.

ICT Self Service Password Reset Tool

We encourage you to sign up for our self-service password reset tool. This will allow you to reset your password or unlock your account at any time from your own device.

Your password lasts for an entire year unless you chose to change it. If you enter your password incorrectly three times, your account will be temporarily locked. However it will clear itself in 30 minutes.  Alternatively you can ask ICT or the library to unlock it for you.
