If you are interested in a future career in the sport, recreation and exercise sector, this may be the qualification for you. This qualification will enable you to work in supporting roles within the sector or staircase you into higher level qualifications.
What you will learn
The benefits of sport, exercise and recreation for individuals, groups and communities.
Safely and ethically perform basic tasks to assist in the delivery of sport, exercise and recreation activity for individuals, groups and/or communities.
Find solutions to an individual, group and community issue, relate this to physical movement, within a health and wellness framework.
All applicants must show evidence of a level of literacy and numeracy sufficient to be able to study at this level, and interpret and apply health and safety requirements.
All applicants will be required to complete a Police Vetting Service Request and Consent form.
All applicants must:
be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences
be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level
be physically able to complete the programme specific outcomes
Applicants for whom English is not a first language, must have an IELTS score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 or an accepted international equivalence.
