About this programme

This programme will enable you to use and maintain vehicles and machinery, as well as creating & maintaining infrastructure systems in the Primary Industries sector. You will learn Health and safety, and Practical content in all three areas of the Vehicles Machinery and Infrastructure course. 

Quads, LUV’s, Chainsaw operation, Fencing, Water systems & Irrigation are what makes up the majority of this program. 

Identification, Assessment and Controls for hazards in the workplace will be applied throughout the entire course. Giving you the ability to assess on the go as you move practically through the workplace.

It is equal practical to theory, as the graduation of this course requires you to have logged hours on each topic, demonstrating your ability to operate, create, maintain and apply health and safety knowledge to each of these topics.

  • be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences

  • be able to read, write and communicate in English at a basic level

  • be physically able to complete the programme-specific outcomes.
