Dolly Tuporo - Digital Arts

“When I was four I wanted to be a physiotherapist. I did science and health all through school thinking I wanted to be a nurse, then I started nursing and realised it wasn’t for me! I was stressing too much.”

“As I re-grouped and explored options, I bought a camera, posted photos online, did some drawings and posted those online, and got strong feedback to pursue this. I’m now here doing digital arts and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m amazed I didn’t pick this part of me up sooner.”

“Cartoons, animation, and photoshop were my first focus here, and now that just continues to expand like branches of a tree. I’m sketching, I’m drawing on glass, I have discovered digital media and web design, I’ve collaborated on a small film, and now I’m adding music. This course hasn’t just broadened what I can do, but it’s shown me what I can do that I didn’t know I could do!”

“I’m thriving in this environment. I love how the tutors support you, and I’m local so I can stay home yet keep expanding and studying. I don’t know where I’ll journey but I know to keep going.”
