Lisa Clunie

Photography Tutor

Lisa Clunie’s photographic practice is largely analogue based; she experiments with the alchemical ‘stuff’ of photography: light, silver and chemistry, whilst also exploring the relationship between photography and drawing. Predominately Lisa photographs the natural world or makes non-objective photograms. Her practice considers the nature of being, our perception of time and space, and the materiality of photography.

Lisa Clunie graduated with a Masters of Philosophy from the Australian National University in 2014, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Otago Polytechnic in 1996. She exhibits her photographs regularly, both nationally and internationally, and works part-time as a photography and drawing tutor at NorthTec.
