Zoe Champions Chartered Accountant Brand

31 March 2016

A NorthTec business student is promoting Chartered Accountancy in her new role as brand manager for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Zoe Edmonds, a second-year student on the Bachelor of Applied Management programme who is majoring in Accounting, is available to help other students with an interest in the profession or who wish to find out more.

Zoe says: “My responsibility as a Student Brand Champ for CA ANZ is to act as a resource of knowledge for anyone wanting to know more about an exciting career in accounting. Gone are the days of sitting behind a desk crunching numbers - accounting can take you into all kinds of careers. Just watch a few of the links at the bottom of this message; you will soon see that the world of business is not what it used to be.”

CA ANZ is a professional membership body that provides all the resources needed to get business professionals future-ready in their careers. They are affiliated with two of the world's largest accounting alliances and with other member bodies around the world. This global affiliation means that strong international networks can be created that not only give professionals connections to all walks of business in the world, but act as a valuable source of knowledge to help expand on ideas and gain new business perspectives.

Zoe says: “When you become part of the CA ANZ family, you have on-going access to a range of professional development opportunities through life-long learning workshops and will always have a broad network of support no matter what stage you are at in your career.

“The key benefits of the pathway to becoming a Chartered Accountant are that it can be completed while you are working so you get paid to add value, it instantly adds credibility to your portfolio of skills and it is internationally recognised and will open doors for you to work for any organisation, anywhere in the world.

“So whether you are just leaving school and are unsure about the next step in your future, or you are already studying in business and want to know more about the organisation I represent, I am here to help. Please email me (zoe.edmonds@outlook.co.nz), or even pull me aside around campus to talk as I would love to tell you all about how becoming a Chartered Accountant can open doors to a bright future.”
Still not convinced that accounting can take you anywhere?
