NorthTec shop ready for semester two

With the second semester of the tertiary academic year approaching, NorthTec is preparing to open its temporary, pop-up shop in Whangarei town centre.

The shop will again be based at 6, The Strand Mall, close to the Vodafone shop at the front of the arcade. It will be open from Monday, 27 June through to Saturday, 15 July, with opening hours from 10am to 3pm, Mondays to Fridays, and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.

The town centre shop is handy for anyone wanting to find out about programmes on offer at NorthTec. Shoppers are invited to pop in and browse through programme material, talk to staff about the options available, or enrol for study.

NorthTec has a broad range of programmes starting in July for semester two. These range from bachelor’s degree programmes to certificates, and cover subjects as diverse as forestry, sport and recreation, applied arts and hospitality.

These include a number of level 2 programmes which are free to students of any age. Young people aged 16 to 19 can also study fees-free at NorthTec, and some may be eligible for travel assistance.
