New facilities at CBEC Kaitaia for NorthTec students

New facilities at CBEC (Community Business and Environment Centre) Kaitaia for NorthTec students were blessed on Monday 9 May.  The blessing of two new classrooms, a kitchen, bathrooms, a potting station and outside picnic/lunch area was done by the Rev. Keita Te Moananui.

Following the blessing, students and guests partook in a shared kai and enjoyed the outside picnic area.

In 2016, three courses will be based at the CBEC site at 190 Pukepoto Road, Kaitaia.  They are; Sustainable Rural Development Level 3 and 4 taught by John Hill, as well as Horticulture Level 3 taught by Darlene Baldwin.

Tutors, Darlene and John, are thrilled with the new facilities and want to thank CBEC for their commitment and support and are looking forward to continuing a great working relationship with them into the future.
