NorthTec Is On Hand At NCEA Results Time

It’s crunch time for Northland’s teenagers, with NCEA results being released today. Thousands of school students in the region will find out how well they performed and will be planning their futures accordingly.

NorthTec is still taking enrolments for 2015, and is encouraging students or their parents to make contact once they’ve received their results, for help deciding on their next steps.

As Northland’s largest tertiary provider, NorthTec delivers programmes at all levels of study, from certificate to degree level. With more than 100 programmes offered across the region, there is something for everybody, with a hands-on, practical focus and strong links to the local job market.

For students who have passed their UE, NorthTec offers seven different degree programmes, giving Northlanders the option to stay in the region close to home while studying for a degree. We offer the following degrees: Bachelor of Applied Arts; Bachelor of Applied Science (Biodiversity Management); Bachelor of Applied Management; Bachelor of Nursing; Bachelor of Applied Social Service; Bachelor of Sport and Recreation; Bachelor of Maori Art – Maunga Kura Toi.

For those who had hoped to go to university but are disappointed by their NCEA results, NorthTec can help. Students can stay close to home while continuing their studies, or choose a bridging option to get a second chance at gaining a university place.

NorthTec also offers pastoral support to help students gain their chosen qualifications and move into employment. With small class sizes and friendly, knowledgeable tutors, NorthTec students feel they are among whānau, with all the benefits of mutual support and flexibility.

Any students or parents who would like advice on “where to after NCEA results” should call NorthTec on 0800 162 100. Information about all programmes is also available at www.northtec.ac.nz.
