HELP US HELP YOUNG PEOPLE INTO SAFE & HEALTHY HOMES

WHANGAREI YOUTH HOUSING SURVEY OPEN NOW

This project/survey is being led by a range of services
who care about housing for young people: 155 Whare Awhina, Whangarei Youth Space, Te Ora Hou, Ngati Hine Hauora, Pehiaweri Marae, Northland Urban Rural Mission and Mahitahi Hauora. It is also guided by a taitamariki kaitiaki roopu / youth advisory group who have provided advice on the research process and the questions asked.
Key facts about the online survey:

  • Participants must be 16-24 years old

  • Participants must live in the Whangarei District

  • The objective is to identify solutions for youth housing

  • Youth voice is key to driving this project and selecting solutions.

  • The questions will be about what housing deprivation looks like for young people in Whangārei.

  • This is an anonymous survey (you don’t have to give your name) and you can skip questions at any time.

  • This research has been assessed and approved by the New Zealand Ethics Committee (NZEC21_35). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Manager of NZEC, Dr Keely Blanch, at manager@nzethics.com.
