Te Whare Manaaki is a student-centred hub, located on our main, Raumanga campus. In this hub, you'll find a range of student services.
This area is designed as a student common room, where you can relax, catch up with friends, hang out between classes and prepare food and drinks.
There are five meeting rooms available for students to use as study spaces or for meetings. Two of the rooms are available on a first-come, first served basis, while the others can be reserved online. Book a Meeting Room

The Navigators deliver front-facing services from pre-enrolment of ākonga to completion of studies at NorthTec. Services will continue to be delivered at Raumanga, Dyer Street, Kaitaia, Dargaville and Kaikohe. The service aims to deliver a tikanga based model that supports ākonga as they journey from the time they enrol at North Tec to when they complete their studies. Navigators complete case assessments of ākonga needs, provide career advice, liaise with tutors and support staff; offers cultural mentors and delivers improved outcomes for ākonga.
Our Navigator Equity is based at the Raumanga campus to support ākonga who have a permanent or temporary disability to overcome any disadvantages to their study. Services include assessment for a reader-writer, advocacy and referrals to community services.
Our Student Voice Coordinators represent provide student advocacy support and are your voice on NorthTec committees, ensuring your views are raised and helping to address any issues that impact on students.
