McKay Stadium

Our Sport and Recreation programmes are run in conjunction with Sport Northland and are based at McKay Stadium at Kensington Park.

NorthTec's Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor of Sport and Recreation are based out of McKay Stadium at Kensington Park in Whangarei.  

For practical sessions, students have access to the New Zealand Academy of Sport-accredited Kensington Fitness Centre and large indoor stadium. There are classrooms on the second floor where students have theory sessions.

A number of businesses also operate from the stadium including a cafe, a childcare centre and physiotherapist.
