Funding your study journey

It’s easier than you think to start a qualification that will help progress your career – no matter which pathway you take.

NorthTec’s fees are subsidised by the government to make it easier for New Zealanders to gain tertiary-level skills.

  • The first year of tertiary education is free. Find out whether you are eligible for Fees Free study at FeesFree.govt.nz.
  • All level 2 programmes are fees free.
  • If you are between the ages of 16-19, your study may be included under the Youth Guarantee fund. Which means, if you are eligible, your level 3 qualification may be free!

While you study, NorthTec helps you with budgeting and financial advice to make life that little bit easier while you study! NorthTec will also help you on your way to a successful career with employment advice and a work broker that will help you find work after you have graduated.

Money to help when you're studying
