Conference Postponed
In responses to the COVID-19 pandemic our conference has been postponed until April 27-29 2021. 

In the meantime, our thoughts are with the families of the many victims of the pandemic and the chaos being visited on health systems across the globe.

Please keep safe everyone.

The Australasia Pacific International Community Development Conference is now accepting abstracts for the 2020 conference. This conference is organised by Aotearoa Community Development Association, IACD, and NorthTec. It will take place over 27-29 April 2021 on the NorthTec Raumanga Campus, Whangārei, Northland, New Zealand.

The theme of this year’s conference is Community Development: a local expression of a global movement.

Interested parties can submit abstracts for the following categories: posters, workshops, quality assured presentation, and short films.

The sub-themes for the conference are:

  • Indigenous innovation

  • Community engagement

  • SDGs: submissions on all of the 17 goals will be considered, especially Ending Poverty and Hunger, Reducing Inequalities, Promoting Health, Wellbeing and Education, Climate Action and Living Sustainably

  • Community Economic Development

  • Reclaiming Rights and Justice

  • Contemporary Issues in CD

  • Our CD history

  • Researching, Teaching and Learning with Communities
