Tiakina Whangārei is an urban based initiative that aims to promote conservation activities in Whangārei. Different mapping applications have been used to store, analyse and present data for the project. This talk will briefly discuss some of the applications that have been used.

Tanya Cook: Pukenui Forest Trust have been working with the community to control pests in Pukenui Forest and have had successful kiwi releases the last two years. Come hear about how the kiwi are going and how mapping technology is used to help in this restoration work.
