Today, health and safety certification is a pre-requisite for many tradespeople and contractors working on major industrial and construction sites. SafeTrades North was set up in 2005 by the Northland Training Alliance, a body comprising local industries in conjunction with Northtec, to train and upskill local tradespeople in safe work practices and safe machinery operation.
Courses at SafeTrades North provide practical and classroom training in understanding workplace hazards and safe work practices – including such skills as working at height or in confined spaces, handling chemicals, understanding potential hazards, forklift driving and applying safety practices in the workplace. Choose from the range of courses on offer to suit you or your employees requirements.
