Overview: To provides students who already have reasonable computer skills with the higher level skills of computer applications.
Content: Graduates of the programme will be able to demonstrate high level skills in a variety of computer applications:
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Database Design and Implementation
- Programming
- Web Technology and Design
- Apply problem solving skills using initiative and judgement
- Work independently
Note: Students enrolling in the programming and web design units will attend degree level classes and on successful completion of these units will gain automatic credits (30) towards the Diploma in Information Systems (Level 5).
