Overview
This programme aims to prepare students for a carpentry apprenticeship.


Content
Graduates will be able to:

  • Use hand tools and the full range of woodworking machinery
  • Demonstrate a range of standard building practices
  • Use building materials appropriately
  • Use calculation for all aspects of building.

Admission Information
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older at the time of enrolment, unless otherwise approved by the Programme Leader.


Students must be able to demonstrate evidence of suitability based on
interview and/or portfolio.


Applicants for whom English is not their first language require a minimum IELTS score of 5.5.


Qualification Gained:

Credit towards National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4).
