A graduate of this programme will be able to:

  • Explain basic concepts in sports science
  • Participate in outdoor pursuits skills
  • Integrate a background of risk management with safety in the
    outdoors
  • Present written material at a tertiary level
  • Work in a team.

Admission Information
Applicants are required to:

  • Be a minimum of 17 years of age at the start of the programme
  • Have achieved NCEA Level 2 Certificate
  • Be fit and healthy (a medical certificate may be asked for)
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in sport, fitness or recreation.

Mature students will be considered on an individual basis.
