A graduate of this programme will be able to:
- Explain basic concepts in sports science
- Participate in outdoor pursuits skills
- Integrate a background of risk management with safety in the
outdoors
- Present written material at a tertiary level
- Work in a team.

Further Study
Admission Information Applicants are required to:
- Be a minimum of 17 years of age at the start of the programme
- Have achieved NCEA Level 2 Certificate
- Be fit and healthy (a medical certificate may be asked for)
- Demonstrate a keen interest in sport, fitness or recreation.
Mature students will be considered on an individual basis.
