Overview
Students will gain the fundamental hairdressing and customer service skills that will allow them to begin a hairdressing apprenticeship.

Content
Graduates will:

• Demonstrate the capacity to relate to, and communicate with a wide
  variety of people
• Work as a valued team member and have developed customer service
  skills
• Have an awareness of personal presentation within an image conscious industry
• Demonstrate a wide range of hairdressing skills at a beginner level
• Demonstrate knowledge of retail selling, stock control, reception duties and cash handling skills
• Have a working understanding of the hairdressing industry based on
  workplace experience
• Practise within accepted Codes of Ethics and Practice.

Admission Information
Entry is open, however preference is given to those who meet generic entry
criteria and have:

• A minimum of three years of secondary school education
• Motivation to work in the hairdressing industry
• A strong interest and commitment to hairdressing services.

Applicants for whom English is not their first language require a minimum
IELTS score of 5.5.
