Our Student Advisors are the first stop for any questions you may have about being a NorthTec student, whether in Whangarei, other regions in Northland or online.
They can help you to find your way around the policies and procedures. If you want to make a complaint the first step is to discuss your issues with your Student Advisor who will be able to support you in this process.
Your Student Advisor might also contact you if your tutor is worried about you and try to finds a solution together.
Help with Finances
If you need to get help with your finances, budgeting or hardship, your Student Advisor can help you and refer you to the appropriate organisations.
Student Advisors can help you with your Studylink applications or WINZ issues and refer you to external agencies.
The Student Advisor will gather and share information regarding accommodation, jobs and scholarship opportunities.
Ask your Student Advisor about the Student Council and class representatives and provide a voice for all NorthTec students.
If your Student Advisor can’t assist, you will be quickly referred or introduced to the right person who can help you.
