Why Health and Safety Training? It’s important. Accidents happen and
competent employees, employers and contractors need the skills to prevent and deal with them. SafeTrades North’s training empowers people with the skills and know how to make workplaces safer, not just the theory behind it.
Gain the skills to comply at work and up skill to keep up with industry requirements. Enhance your employment opportunities. Health and safety compliance is the law. Certification is a pre-requisite for many tradespeople and contractors working on industrial and construction sites.

You will learn: About working safely in a variety of areas. Understand the legal obligations of employers and employees. Know what to do in emergencies. Get an insight into the drug and alcohol problems that are invading worksites and learn how to keep yourself and your workmates safer.

Courses include:

  • Forklift driving
  • Working at height or in confined spaces
  • Handling chemicals
  • Understanding potential hazards
  • Applying safety practices in the workplace.
