Art Programme

Applied Arts - Visual
Get inspired! Northland has a strong focus on the arts. If you want to use your creative side, this applied arts programme will prepare you for work in a creative field. NorthTec's Certificate in Applied Arts and Diploma in Applied Arts offer pathways to the Bachelor of Applied Arts.

As working artists, our tutors maintain very close ties with their artistic communities and creative industries, and they understand the reality of making a living within them. As a student here you will reap the rewards those connections offer.

Many of our students begin working in their field while still completing their courses here. Others go on to develop as self-employed artists, working locally, or making a global stand from right here in Northland.

Photography
The Certificate in Photography is based on New Zealand content and students learn the practical, skills based photography they need to gain knowledge in this medium.
